English?

Well for those of you who don't know, I have ridden myself of the blonde, and my hair is now black with bright pink underneath. So now instead of being mistaken for being polish or russian (not that I care, but being likened to a russian, I have been told, is not a good thing in germany.) I am now mistaken for being english. Which, I guess, is where I originally came from, but is still wrong. And then, when I say Australia, they all smile and say 'oh, near New Zealand'. D'oh!
NO! New Zealand is near us, d'uh.

Dragonflyy

I'm not sure how well you can see these, one's a bit blurry I know, I had the wrong setting on, and by the time I changed it, the dragonfly had flown away:/
It was blue! BLUE! Quite small compared to others I've seen but pretty none the less:)
Just yesterday I saw one as long as my hand- I was so excited! They never get that big in Oz... So I have nothing better to post about, but I thought it was the prettiest bug I'd ever seen, so bite me!




And this is a second dragonfly I found. He/she was startled to sit there for quite a few shots:) Not as pretty in body colour to the blue, but when the light shone on his wings it was mesmerizing :D

Hugendubel

I have decided this is my favourite german word. Hugendubel, pronounced 'hooo-gen-dooo-bel'. It s actually a bookstore, a very fantasticly enormous bookstore full of books in both english and german, so not only does the word sound awesome, it is!.

Planning my summer holidays, and low and behold, there's a ticket to somewhere called Herakklion for 29 euros...having no idea where that was we checked and its in CRETE:D
So looks like i'll be spending my holidays in Greece. AAhh am absolutely stoked, feels a bit surreal, holidaying in Greece...since its only a one way ticket tho, am still planing if i should fly to other cities, train it, or spend my whole two weeks in Greece...GREECE. Ha. Really.
When i'm sitting by the beach, watching the sun set with beer in hand, i'll spare you all a thought;)

A Day In The Park

Well, i'd mentioned i wanted to get out more, so last sunday the family and i went to a very nice park in frankfurt... the' it cost 5 euro just to get in' type of park. I mean i'm sure it cost a lot for up keep of the park, but the sheer thought of paying to go and sit of a nice patch of grass kind of made me laugh.


Inside was worth it, the colours! Its peak time for flowers in germany, and couldn't ya tell it!

These scenes reminded me of the sound of music...namely the part where they run around singing 'the hills are alive, with the sound of music...'


I just wanted to jump in the flowers and lay down. It was warm and they looked so inviting...



Boating...you could go boating. How very...european.


These fish diSGUSTEd me! Some one had thrown bread into the water for the ducks and these fish came in swarms haha everyone wanted to pet them....ewwwww! phobia? YES! come on, can you picture being in the water amongst them??




There were also greenhouses made up with desert or rainforest scenery, which were scorching hot and disgustingly humid. But also very pretty.

(Hehe, was so tempted to push them in:D)
Juri and Carlos in the rainforest exhibition. There were more wonderful fish in the pond there, but at least these ones were pretty.

My life is so empty right now...
NIN as I mop the floor, rammstein as i iron, manson as i wipe the benchtops...
neaera to drown out the church bells as i walk in the rain (hey electronic bells are ugly), a bit of mudvayne as i ride through the woodlands...bah all very nice but i need some friends!

I actually read the news just so i have something to make small talk about.
